The subject of his personal work, on the other hand, draws inspiration from organic and mechanical compositions, contained chaos, serendipity, and the darker elements of the world that exists within and without us. From illustration and film photography to wood and metal fabrication, the scope of his work covers an expanse of mediums but his focus lies in traditional works on paper specifically graphite, ink, and print. Former helicopter mechanic, woodshop safety technician, and printmaking research intern, Osetek holds an appreciation for technique, process-involved mediums, and displays a meticulous sense of detail in his work. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina with a concentration in studio art and advanced printmaking.
Nick Osetek is a visual artist and mechanical engineer working in Raleigh, North Carolina.
